S.R. "Bob" Massarelli

Sylvester Robert "Bob" Massarelli, age 83, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on April 23, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Sylvester Francis and Veronica R. Fabula Massarelli and husband of the late Mary Patricia Massarelli. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during the Korean War. He had worked as a Chemist for Bruning Paint Company. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and both St. Mark and St. John's Catholic Church where he was a Lecture and Eucharistic minister. He loved to cook chili and participate in many competitions.

Mr. Massarelli is survived by his children, Robert J. Massarelli and wife, Adelle, of Titusville, FL, Peter T. Massarelli and wife, Patsy, of Clearwater, FL, Mary Pat Hart and husband, Patrick, of St. Louis, MO, David J. Massarelli of Parkville, MD, Carol Ryan and husband, Matt, of Downingtown, PA, Paul M. Massarelli and wife, Cheryl, of Baldwin, MD, and Michael Massarelli of Forest Hill, MD; sister, Lois Gannon of Princeton, NJ; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert Massarelli, Peter Massarelli, Patrick Hart, David Massarelli, Paul Massarelli, Michael Massarelli, Ryan Massarelli and Matt Ryan.
