Sophie Catherine Bodaj

Sophie Catherine Bodaj, age 97, of Havre de Grace, passed away on January 31, 2014 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine (Ziomek) Czarnecki and wife of the late Walter Paul Bodaj. Originally from Perth Amboy, NJ, she moved to Harford County in 1986. She was a member of the Patronage of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church Mission at Abingdon and the Aberdeen Senior Center where she was active for many years.

Mrs. Bodaj is survived by her daughter, Theresa Kotlar and husband, Anthony, of Havre de Grace; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by siblings, Stanley, Frederick and Lottie.

Pallbearers are Anthony, Joseph, Nicholas and Thomas Kotlar, Lucas Lakatta and Greg Czarnecki.
