Sofia Cruz-Rosado

Sofia Cruz Rosado, age 89, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on February 2, 2024, at Sterling Care Riverside in Belcamp, Maryland. Born in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eugenio and Margarita (Rosado). Sofia was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Sofia was known for her skill in sewing and crochet, creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by her loved ones. She had a passion for cooking Puerto Rican dishes and took pride in sharing her culture through food. Puerto Rico held a special place in her heart, and she often spoke fondly of her homeland.

In her leisure time, Sofia enjoyed solving puzzles and watching classic television shows like "The Price is Right" and "Golden Girls." She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including scratching off lottery tickets.

Sofia is survived by her son, Eric (Mary) Martinez; grandchildren, Ederis (Dorian) Martinez-Cunion, Eric (Janice) R. Martinez, Ashley Soubie, Tyler Soubie, and Travis Soubie; great-grandchildren, Taina Cunion, Donovan Cunion, Quentin Martinez, Anya Martinez and Cassidy Ferrante; sister, Antonia Cruz; and brother, Enrique Cruz. She was preceded in death by son Jesus M. and six siblings.
