SKIP STRONG, age 38, of Bel Air, died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Louisiana on September 26, 2005. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of Wilson Edward Strong, Sr. of South Carolina and the late Barbara Jean Leizear Strong. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he graduated from Fallston High School in 1984. He has been a member of Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company since January 1993 during which time he has served as Lieutenant, Captain and of late for the past two years as 2nd Assistant Chief. He has worked as a lineman for Baltimore Gas and Electric for 18 years and was recently promoted to crew leader. His daughter, Olivia, was the joy of his life. He loved to hunt and was known always to have Redman chewing tobacco.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of four years, Tina Marie Kuhn Strong; a daughter, Olivia Jean Strong of Bel Air; a sister, Jenny Petrik of Abingdon; a grandmother, Elsie Leizear of Joppa; his step-mother, Joan Strong of South Carolina; and several aunts and uncles.
