''Skee'' George Litchfield

"Skee" George Litchfield, age 81, of Edgewood, MD, died on February 20, 2010 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Hanson Herman and Sadie S. Johnson Litchfield. He worked 37 years at the Edgewood Area of Aberdeen Proving Ground where he received many rewards, and has been retired for 24 years. An avid waterman and hunter, he loved working on boat restoration and had great respect for Maryland Waterways. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Mr. Litchfield is survived by his wife, who he married on July 21, 1961, Virginia Parsons Litchfield of Edgewood, MD; sons, Harold E. Whitaker and wife, Brenda, of Joppa, MD, W. Michael Litchfield and wife, Debra, of Street, MD, David R. Whitaker and wife, Judith, of Kingsville, MD, and Daniel H. Litchfield Sr. and wife, Frances, of Edgewood, MD; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Dan Litchfield Sr., Dan Litchfield Jr., Dave Whitaker, Harold Whitaker, Mike Litchfield, Allen Barnes, Skip Richardson, and Norman Zebley.
