SIDNEY ELIZABETH DeBOW, 97, of Glen Arm, died at Glen Meadows Retirement Community on April 28, 2004. Born in Van Bibber, she was the daughter of the late Levin Oler and Anna Chapman Harward Gallion and the wife of 55 years of the late Archer Kirk DeBow. A resident of Harford County all her life, she was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Abingdon for most of her life. She worked at Edgewood Arsenal as a secretary before making gas masks and shells during the war effort. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. DeBow is survived by a son, J. Michael DeBow of Reisterstown and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann DeBow and Christopher Michael DeBow, both of Reisterstown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Walter Gallion, Levin O. Gallion, Melbourne Gallion, and Robert Gallion and two sisters, Edith Coen and Marguerite Janney.
Pallbearers will be: Woody Gallion, Dick Janney and Lester Coen.
