Sid Pyle

Sid Pyle, age 88, of Baldwin, Maryland passed away on July 7, 2022 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland. Born in Mt. Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Samuel and Elsie (Shrawder) Pyle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked in several places as a mechanic, mainly in Pikesville. He was also a partner of Cromwell Motors in Pikesville.  After retirement, Sid worked at the Bel Air Auto Auction where he bought and sold cars for Sir Michael.  During his time at the Bel Air Auto Auction, his friends looked after him which was greatly appreciated by his family.  Sid was a 1953 NASCAR Member and he attended Grandview Christian Church in Fallston.   

Sidney is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan Pyle; daughters, Wendy Acevedo (Fabian), Terry Gamier, Cindy Browder and Janice Davidson; son, Sidney R. Pyle, Jr. (Sue); sister, Cleo Collins; brother, George Pyle; brother-in-law, Don Stimax; and 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, David Pyle and James Pyle and sisters, Althea Foreman and Jean Kraft.
