Shirley O. Fruhling

Shirley O. Fruhling, age 74, of Edgewood, MD, died on October 19, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born and raised in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Howard and Ernestena Louise Kammerer Pierce, and wife of the late Charles O. Fruhling. She had worked at Kmart in Joppa, and in the cafeteria at Fallston General Hospital. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she was also a member of the Joppatowne Golden Agers, and was a charter member of the Joppa-Magnolia Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, and making crafts.

Mrs. Fruhling is survived by her sons, Charles Edward Fruhling and John Stephen Fruhling, both of Edgewood, MD, and Donald James Fruhling of Joppa, MD; daughters, Joan Louise Abel of Columbia, MD and Patricia Anne Holmes of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
