Shirley A. Carmine

June 18, 1937 — January 30, 2012

Shirley A. Carmine, age 74, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on January 30, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Josephine Elizabeth Baldwin Bremer. She was a registered nurse working at Lutheran Hospital in Baltimore and was a member of the Lutheran Nurses Association. An avid scrap booker, she enjoyed taking care of her family.

Mrs. Carmine is survived by her husband, Melvin J. Carmine of Abingdon, MD; son, Daniel Carmine and wife, Heather, of Abingdon, MD; daughters; Donna C. DeFontes and husband, Ken, of Kingsville, MD and Patricia J. Shaver of Abingdon, MD; sister, Elaine E. Zimmerman of Perryville, MD; and four grandchildren, Kenneth DeFontes III and Evan C. Rollins of Baltimore, MD, Amber M. Rollins of Edgewood, MD, and Christian G. Carmine of Abingdon, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her children, Melvin J. Carmine Jr. and Kathleen M. Carmine.
