Shirley A. Cantow

Shirley A. Cantow, age 75, of Forest Hill, MD, was taken into God's eternal rest on January 13, 2010 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born between Odenton and Severn, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Cecelia Friedel Jurnigan. She had worked at the DMV in Glen Burnie, was a counselor at the Hickey School for Boys, had volunteered for Governor Schaffer, as well as, with children who have special needs. She loved dogs and was a Maltese Dog Breeder. She attended St. Ignatius Catholic Church and loved her grandchildren.

Mrs. Cantow is survived by her husband, James Cantow of Severn, MD; son, Gene P. Wysocki of Westminster, MD; daughters, Cindy J. Taylor and husband, Jim, of Hanover, PA, E. Carol Kerr and husband, Douglas, of New Windsor, MD; and Jackie Clingerman and husband, Bob, of Bel Air, MD; brother, Jessie Jurnigan of Suffolk, VA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Tikki.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon J. Wysocki; and her sisters, Evelyn Candee and Hilda Barrett.

Pallbearers will be Douglas W. Kerr, James R. Taylor Sr., Bob E. Clingerman Jr., Gene P. Wysocki, Jason D. Taylor, and Rob E. Clingerman III. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Bowen and John Wysocki.
