Shirley A. Blevins, age 68, of Edgewood, MD passed away on July 12, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Granite City, IL, she was the daughter of the late William and Eileen Smith Bradley. A Harford County resident for 52 years, she was a manager at a convenience store and also cooked for the Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriffs Department. She was a devoted member of Edgewood Assembly of God where she also was a member of the choir. She put everybody before herself and enjoyed making people smile and laugh.
Mrs. Blevins is survived by her husband and love of her life of 50 years, Bill Blevins of Edgewood, MD; son, George Blevins and wife, Janet Morrissey of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Sally Ward and husband, Ken of Edgewood, MD; siblings, Jim Bradley, John Bradley, Donna Williams, Fran Taylor, Thelma Anderson, Linda Samuels, Ruth Bradley, Lucy Green and Cindy Bowers; grandchildren, William Gullion, who she took care of when his parents passed away and Tommy Slaten; great grandchildren, Jesse Slaten, Brandon Slaten, Nathan Gullion and Gianna Paralett; and her special companion, her dog Charlotte.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Jessie Blevins; daughter, Willy Blevins, and siblings, David Bradley, Loren Bradley, Clifford Bradley, Mary Olinger and Vi Hughes.
