Sherrie Clinton Ruhl

Sherrie Clinton Ruhl, age 56, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on November 22, 2015 at her home. Born in Churchville, Harford County, she is the daughter of Catherine Virginia (Starcher) Mateer of Bel Air and Franklin Delano Clinton of North East. A homemaker, she was once a reporter for the News American and the Evening Sun where she was also an award winning food editor. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and St. Margaret Catholic Church, enjoyed needlepoint and was an avid reader of science fiction and mystery novels. She was also a Master Gardener who enjoyed working with flowers.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Ruhl is survived by her husband of 24 years, John B. Ruhl; son, John B. Ruhl Jr. of Forest Hill; daughter, Charlotte E. Ruhl of Forest Hill; sister, Cindy Celentano of Ellicott City; and half-brother, Jamie Mateer (and his wife Catherine) of Bel Air. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Cecil George Mateer.
