Sharon Marie King

Sharon Marie Littleton King, 80, of Asheboro, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at her home.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 22, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Rd., Asheboro, NC. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, Maryland.

Sharon was born July 18, 1943, in Washington, D.C., daughter to the late James and Lelia Nannie Pyrtle Littleton.  She loved her Lord and instilled the Lords love to others. Sharon loved her family dearly, especially her daughters, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family vacations were very important to her.  She loved feeding and watching her birds and dearly missed the snow.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale King, Jr. and sister, Hope Kirk.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Shannon Poe and Carrie Craig (Terry) all of Asheboro; sisters, Frances Colgan and Linda Littleton of Bowie, MD; grandchildren, Branden Poe (Nathaniel), Christopher Poe (Brooke), Alexandria Callicutt (Eric), Michaela Kennedy (Ethan), Robert Craig (Taylor); and nine great grandchildren with one on the way.
