SGT Zachary James Mize, age 26, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 26, 2013. Born in Conway, AR he was a mechanic in the U.S. Army where he served two tours in Afghanistan with Delta Troop 4-73 CAV 82nd ABN Division. His duty stations included Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Lewis, Washington and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. SGT Mize will be remembered for his love of music and playing the guitar. He will forever remain a loving husband, adoring father, affectionate son, loyal friend and a brave soldier.
SGT Mize is survived by his wife of 5 years, Nichole E. Mize; son, Jaxon James Mize; father, James Mize and Dana Rankin and step-sister Leslie Waller; mother, Danette Mize-Blackwell and Kirby Blackwell; and grandparents, Dylis Jenkins, Martha and Hershel Tennyson and Howard and Pat Mize.
