SCOTT ALLEN PERKINS, age 41, of Abingdon, died at University of Maryland Hospital on February 16, 2004. Born in Baltimore City, he was the son of Ronald Collins and Carole Lynn Gilbert Perkins of Abingdon. He worked as a dispatcher for Catons Plumbing, Heating and Cooling for many years. He enjoyed participating in Girl Scouts. He was a trumpet player for amateur music events. He enjoyed cooking. He was a former Cub Scout Master of Pack 973. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church where he was president of the Church Council, chairman of the Social Ministry and a Sunday School Teacher. He served his country in the National Guard.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lisa M. Wright Perkins; one son, Andrew R. Perkins; two daughters, Sarah E. Perkins and Stephanie M. Perkins all of Abingdon; one brother, Robert C. Perkins of Perryville; and one sister, Karen A. McCarter of Harrington, Delaware.
Pallbearers will be: Ken Wright, Nathan Waterman, Norris McKee, Robert Perkins, Michael Mack, and Reese Perkins. Honorary pallbearer will be: Andrew R. Perkins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Harford National Bank, ATTN: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, The Scott Perkins Memorial Fund, 2905 Emmorton Road, Abingdon, Maryland 21009.
