Sandy Kay (Hendrix) McAmis, age 52, of Aberdeen, MD, formally of Longview, TX, died on March 1, 2011 at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Lena Faye Holbrook Parthree of Aberdeen, MD and the late Herbert Clifford Hendrix. A 1976 graduate of Bel Air High School, she was a very outgoing person with a big heart. She always opened her arms to help others, especially her family and friends. She loved her dogs, especially Cinnamon, and was always referred to as "Crazy Mama Sandy".
In addition to her mother she is survived by her daughters, Amelia Kay McAmis and Savannah Renee McAmis, both of Longview, TX; brothers., Terry L. Hendrix of Fredericksburg, VA, Tony H. Hendrix of Aberdeen, MD, and Guy C. Parthree of Darlington, MD; sisters, Linda R. Hendrix-Klock of Scottsdale, AZ, Wanda L. Garrison of Havre de Grace, MD, Brenda L. Roberts of Delta, PA; and close friends from childhood, Idella (Dee Dee)and Richard Amberman, and Karen Frew. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ray and Cary Hendrix; sister, Donna J. Hendrix; and stepfather, Ralph Parthree.
