Samuel W. Fike Jr.

Samuel W. Fike, Jr. age 82, of White Marsh, MD, died on July 14, 2009 at Gilchrist Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel Walter Fike Sr. and Katherine Sipple Fike. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he retired after 32 years from Eastern Stainless Steel, where he was a general foreman. He was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church and the Gunpowder V.F.W. He enjoyed archery, bowling, gardening, riding motorcycles, traveling, camping, and playing the organ and accordion, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Fike is survived by his wife, Ellen M. Alderton Fike; son, Mark Fike and his wife, Lisa, of Bel Air, MD; and four grandchildren, Brenda, Janice, and Chad Fike, and Robert Lamarr.
