Samuel C. Berry Sr.

Samuel C. Berry Sr., age 75, of Peach Bottom, PA, died on March 16, 2009 at his home. Born in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Walter Dexter and Lula Mae Parker Berry and husband of the late Sarah Joel Baker Berry. A resident of Harford County for over 50 years, he served our country in the U.S. Marines. He held various jobs throughout his life including farmer, mechanic, truck driver, and had also worked at Maryland Golf and Country Club. A member of Towne Baptist Church in Joppa, MD, he loved to be around people, especially his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.

Mr. Berry is survived by his sons, Samuel C. Berry Jr. and wife, Robin, of Peach Bottom, PA and Edward A. Berry; daughter, Catherine E. Leftridge and husband, Mike, of Aberdeen, MD; brother John E. Berry Sr. of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Kathleen Jones, Mildred Harmon, and Ramona Stallard, all of West Virginia; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
