Sam Day

Radford F. Day, Jr. “Sam” age 81, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on March 17, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Fountain Green, Maryland, he was the son of the late Radford and Ophelia (Hurley) Day. He was owner and operator of Days Motors for 61 years, he was a huge Baltimore Orioles, Colts and now Ravens fan, a fan of the Maryland Terps and enjoyed playing golf. He loved boating and truly enjoyed his work.

Sam is survived by his sister, Sue Nichols (Dewey); brother, Larry Day (Helen); special friend, Heather Schwemmer, nieces Kim Russell, Karen Nichols, Kacy Day; nephews, Tyler Day, Brandon Dean; grand nieces, Lauren Russell, Presley Dean; grand nephews, Brandon Russell, Hank Dean; great-grandnephew, Eilah Russell

In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by niece, Denise Lawson.
