Ryan Joseph Bonhoff

April 18, 1994 — September 4, 2024

Ryan Joseph Bonhoff, age 30, of Rosedale, Maryland, passed away on September 4, 2024. Born on April 18, 1994 in Baltimore, Maryland, Ryan was the beloved son of Joseph and Tina (Flynn) Bonhoff. He found his greatest joy spending time with his family and friends.

A proud graduate of West Virginia University, Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in accounting. During his high school years, he was a dedicated "12 Season" athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and lacrosse, participating all four years in each sport. Initially Ryan worked as an accountant but his love of working with his hands led him to his career in welding. Ryan enjoyed working for Synagro Technologies Inc. in Baltimore, where he was a valued team member.

Ryan's love for the outdoors was evident in his many passions. Whether tinkering with his car, off-road ATV, or dirt bike, he embraced adventure. He was an avid supporter of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, never missing a game. His true love for nature showed through his hobbies of fishing, hunting, and hiking, particularly his passion for fly fishing. A graduate of the Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock program, he completed the extensive seven-year course in youth fly fishing and remained an enthusiastic advocate of the sport.

Ryan most cherished spending time with his family and friends, leaving behind many who will miss his presence and spirit deeply.

In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his fiancée, Stefany Florez; his brother, Matthew J. Bonhoff and his wife Ashley; his sister, Erica N. Bonhoff; his cherished nephews, Bryce, Peyton, Sylus, and Declan Bonhoff; and his grandparents, Sabina (Morgan) and Major Lillard, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph J. Bonhoff, Sr., and grandparents, Everett, and Dorothy Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ryan's memory may be made to Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock, 118 Chargeur Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 or to Lieber Institute for Brain Development, 855 N. Wolfe St., Suite 300, Baltimore, MD 21205.
