Ruth Simmons

Eleanor Ruth Simmons, age 73, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on January 24, 2013 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Joppa, MD, Ruth was the daughter of the late Frederick M. and Marie M. Beavers Edwards. She worked as an Executive Assistant for the State of Maryland for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, as well as creating hand crafts.

Ms. Simmons is survived by her son, Daniel C. Simmons and wife, Deborah, of Perry Hall; daughter, Terry L. Moore and husband, Kenneth, of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Kristina Moore Hinebaugh and husband, Nick, and Jennifer Moore and boyfriend, Stephen Albert; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Rex, George and Charles Williamson; and sisters, Patricia Zynel and Marian Scott.
