Ruth Naomi Bergeron was born June 30, 1935 in Baltimore, MD to Henry and Rose Whiteford. Ruth loved music and sang with her sisters Mary (Ashley) and Dinah (Richardson). Her younger brother Henry often added saxophone accompaniment. Ruth formed the children's choir at Chase Church of God and helped with the costuming and presentation of numerous Christmas programs while attending there. Every church Ruth attended she assisted with the music ministry, playing the piano, organ and accordion. After years as a bookkeeper, Ruth took numerous nursing courses at Harford Community College and spent over 25 years in private nursing situations. She always had the best interest of her patients at heart. Soon after retiring from home health care Ruth moved to Milford to be with her sister Mary. Ruth developed a long list of pen pals who she remembered on their birthdays and special occasions and holidays. She often made her own cards and carefully selected Bible verses and poems to fill them. Ruth found great joy in giving to others. She could be counted on as prayer warrior for her family, friends and pen pals.
Ruth was the loving mother of David (Barbara) Eyler and cherished sister of Mary Ashley of Milford, DE and Dinah Richardson of Lakeland, FL. She was preceded in death by her parent's Henry and Rose Whiteford and brother Henry Whiteford.
