RUTH M. WISSMAN, age 77, of Bel Air, died at her home on February 6, 2003. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Margaret R. Carolan Guthlein. She had worked as a secretary for over 25 years for the Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. She was active with the A.R.C. and the Bel Air Women’s Club. She loved her garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Wissman is survived by one son, Vernon Lee DeHaven of Bel Air; three daughters, Mary Barbara Scaminaci of Tall Timbers, Maryland; Margaret Ann DeHaven of Seattle, Washington; Nancy L. Catanzaro and son-in-law, Robert H. Catanzaro, of Churchville; one sister, Theresa Moriarty of Towson; six grandchildren, Lt. Jonathan T. Hansen, USMC of Quantico, Virginia; Jaime A. Catanzaro of Bel Air; Ashley B. Catanzaro of Churchville; Juliana Scaminaci of Tall Timbers, Maryland; James Scaminaci, IV of Tall Timbers, Maryland; Bobby Catanzaro of Churchville; and one great-grandchild, Taylor N. Homer of Bel Air. Also survived by two nieces, Mary Ellen Pickett of Damascus; and Margaret Moriarty of Baltimore.
