Ruth M. Boniface

RUTH M. BONIFACE, age 92, of Churchville, MD, died on July 20, 2007 at her home. Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lanson William and Marion Ella Coon Mosher and wife, for 54 years, of the late Sydney F. Boniface. She graduated from Skidmore College with a B.S in Mathematics and was later employed as the recorder at the school. A Harford county resident for sixty years, she was assistant treasurer for the Humane Society of Harford County for 23 years, and worked for Harford County in the Personnel Office and in Parks and Recreation until retiring in 1982. A very active member of Fallston Presbyterian church for over 50 years, she was an ordained elder, served as a Sunday School teacher and was involved in the Women’s Association. She loved crossword puzzles, reading, and needlework and after retirement, she and her husband traveled the country in their motor home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Boniface is survived by a son, Andrew Fred Boniface and his wife, Robin J. Boniface, of Hamilton, VA; a daughter, Carol Louise Boniface Himmer and her husband, J. Charles Himmer, of Churchville, MD; four grandchildren, Jake Himmer of Lafayette, LA, Josh Himmer and his wife, Kelly C. Himmer, of Fallston, MD, Cassandra Boniface and Nathaniel Boniface, both of Hamilton, VA; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney P. Himmer of Fallston, MD.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Lois Mosher and Dorothy Craig.

Pallbearers were Don Himmer, Alex McComas, John Richardson, and Josh Himmer, Rick Small, and Harry Boniface.
