Ruth Lloyd

Marion Ruth Lloyd (Corle), age 90, of Bel Air, MD died on June 13, 2009 at her home. Born in Bedford, PA on January 15, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Morselle Wilmot and Nora Eloise Boore Corle, and wife for 45 years, of the late James Thomas Lloyd. She grew up in Altoona, PA from the age of 5 years and graduated from Altoona High School in 1936. She went on to graduate from Altoona School for Secretaries and then moved to Harford County in 1943. She was a dedicated organist for 30 years at the Edgewood Baptist Church and had worked as a secretary at Edgewood Arsenal (Aberdeen Proving Ground) for many years. An avid reader, she composed poetry, and had a great sense of humor. She loved her children and grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her twin sister, Margaret C. "Peg" Lytle of Westerville, OH; sons, John Malcolm Lloyd and his wife, Marjorie Garrison Lloyd, of Abingdon, MD, Mark Alexander Lloyd and his wife, Jamee Watson Lloyd, of Bel Air, MD; grandchildren, Christopher Aaron Lloyd of Abingdon, MD, Casey Andrew Lloyd of Atlanta, GA, Alexander Watson Lloyd and Juliet Bevan Lloyd, both of Bel Air, MD; all of whom rejoice in the knowledge that Ruth now rests in Christ's loving arms.

She is pre-deceased by her older twin sisters, Eleanore Wilson and Josephine Helms; and two brothers, Harold "Mike" Corle and Vernon Corle.

Pallbearers will be Blane Watson, Shane Watson, Christopher Lloyd, Casey Lloyd, Alexander Lloyd, and David Watson.
