RUTH E. MONATH, Age 82, of Jarrettsville, died on November 13, 2005, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
Born in Johnson City, TN to the late Hugh Millard Torbett and Zeffie Elizabeth Zimmerman Torbett, she worked for Western Electric for 8 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was a member of the Caregiver Sunday School class there. She formerly belonged to the Fallston Homemakers Club. She enjoyed cooking, interior design, and sewing, and was a contributing editor for Taste of Home magazine. Her family said that she enjoyed helping people in need.
Mrs. Monath is survived by her husband of 59 years, David E. Monath of Jarrettsville; two sons, Alan D. Monath, and his wife Helen of Laurel, and Gary W. Monath, and his wife Deborah of Havre de Grace; one daughter, S. Gail Brzowsky, and her husband David of Forest Hill; one brother, Warren Torbett, and his wife Vickie of Piney Flats, TN; seven grandchildren, David A. Monath and Linda M. Monath both of Laurel, Chad M. Monath, and Andrew D. Monath, both of Havre de Grace, Laurie E. Brzowsky of Forest Hill, Kimberly N. Brzowsky of Bel Air, and Ryan S. Brzowsky of Forest Hill; and one great grandson, Ian M. Irizarry of Bel Air.
Pallbearers will be David A. Monath, Linda M. Monath, Chad M. Monath, Andrew D. Monath, Laurie E. Brzowsky, Kimberly N. Brzowsky, and Ryan S. Brzowsky.
