Ruth E. Glassman

RUTH E. GLASSMAN, a life-long resident of Harford County, died December 22, 2007 at Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87 years old. Born in Pylesville, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lucy Chamberlain Scarborough and the wife of the late Edward T. Glassman. Mrs. Glassman retired from a long career with the Bel Air Manufacturing Company. She was active in the church and maintained life long friendships with many of the ladies from her church and associates from work. She was a long time member of Fallston United Methodist Church. She originally attended the former Providence Methodist Church, which merged with Fallston. At church she enjoyed conducting Sunday school classes for the young children and was an active member of the Women’s Christian Society.

Mrs. Glassman is survived by four children, Margaret Wallis of Bel Air, MD, William Glassman of Churchville, MD, Larry Glassman of Aberdeen, MD, and Donald Glassman of Ankeny, IA; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Richard H. Glassman and five brothers and five sisters.
