Ruth C. Hash

Ruth C. Hash, age 91, was a resident of Shrewsbury, PA for over 13 years. She went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2016 at her residence. Born in Fountain Green, MD, she was the daughter of John Robert and Lula Mae (Sparks) Coomes and was the wife, for 32 years, of the late Rev. Mont Wilson Hash. Her husband was a pastor with whom she served over 20 years in Maryland, Florida and Alabama. For eight years, she belonged to the Southern Baptist Convention Mission Board serving in Florida, Connecticut and Alabama. She also participated in multiple charity projects and served at the Baptist Conference of Maryland Retreat Center in Middletown.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Robert C. Hash of Manchester, PA, Paul W. Hash of Asheville, NC and Richard D. Hash of Shrewsbury, PA; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Blanche Thompson, Dorothy Hoffman, Nora Flynn, Ethel Parcells and Eva Miller; and two brothers, Curtis Coomes and Paul Coomes.
