Ruth Fischer Boone

Ruth Fischer Boone, 97, of Harford County, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Beck) Fischer and the devoted wife of the late Harris Boone.

A dedicated member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Ruth actively participated in Bible study groups and embraced her faith wholeheartedly. She spent her career as a registered nurse, bringing care and compassion to countless patients over the years.

Ruth found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, especially during their cherished board game nights. Above all, her greatest treasures in life were her faith and her family, which she held close to her heart. 

Ruth is survived by her son, Bradley H. Boone; daughter, Vanessa Kirby; grandchildren, Charles Mason, IV, Brenna Boone, Rebekah Hansen, Rachel Mitmesser, Robert Kirby, III, and Ryan Kirby and 13 great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by brother, Henry J. Fischer, and sisters, Betty Josenhans, and Norma Ayres.
