Ruth Anne Preston

RUTH ANNE PRESTON, age 78, of Bel Air, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on November 5, 2003. Born in Radford, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Russell Ballard Stewart and Pansy Mae Piercey Smith. She was a Harford County Board of Election Judge and a county 4-H leader of the Helping Hands Club in Churchville. She enjoyed working in her flower beds.

Mrs. Preston is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Edgar Preston, Jr.; one son, William E. Preston, III of Bel Air; two daughters, Mary Linda Creswell of Bel Air; Beverly Anne Preston Jones of Havre de Grace; one brother, Jack C. Smith of Sun City, Arizona; one sister, Rachel Lee Terry of Melbourne Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jon K. Eikenberg, Jr. of Aberdeen; Phoebe Jones Durst of Bel Air; Heather Preston Givens of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Rebecca Jones Coakley of Havre de Grace; Melissa Stewart Smith of Whiteford; Elizabeth S. Preston of King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Kathleen Jones Waltemeyer of Abingdon; and five great-grandchildren.
