Ruth Ann Laatsch

Ruth Ann Laatsch, age 97, of Glen Arm, Maryland passed away on May 17, 2022, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born on November 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Claire (Marshall) Shanklin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Philip Laatsch; her son, Douglas Laatsch; sisters, Marie Leimbach, and Virginia Camp; and brother, Tom Shanklin.

Ruth was a very active member in her church, Grandview Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers, traveling and reading.

Ruth is survived by her two sons, Roger Laatsch (Rebecca) of New Windsor, MD, and Jerry Laatsch (Rebecca Bushey) of Hagerstown, MD; daughter, Elizabeth Laatsch of Big Pine Key, FL; daughter-in-law, Mary Laatsch of Hampstead, MD; two brothers, LeRoy Shanklin of Bel Air, MD, and Robert Shanklin of Fulton, MD; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
