Ruth A. Bassinger

RUTH A. BASSINGER, age 79, of Edgewood, formerly of Middle River, died in Mariner Health of Forest Hill on March 1, 2005. Born in Loch Haven, Pennsylvania, she was the foster daughter of the late Horace and Elizabeth Robinson, and the wife of the late Daniel G. Bassinger. She was very artistic, enjoying ceramics and crafts. She loved visiting the Amish country. She was a great cook, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She had beautiful handwriting and never missed anyone’s birthday.

Mrs. Bassinger is survived by one daughter, Barbara Stone of Edgewood; four grandchildren, Donald Creek of Edgewood; George Ambrose of Albany, Oregon; Lisa Ambrose of Albany, Oregon; Ming Gee Chan of Potomac, Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Wyatt Creek and Lauren K. Creek, both of Edgewood. Also survived by daughter-in-law Ann Chan of Potomac, MD; niece, Dorothy Szymansky of Stewart, Florida; and cousin Jenny Bluehs of Snowflake, Arizona.
