Russell James Bowser

Russell James Bowser, age 81, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on June 12, 2022, at his home. Born in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Russell James Bowser Sr. and Blanche (Matthews) Bowser. Russ graduated from Susquehannock High School in 1959. He was a three-sport letterman.  As an avid boater, Russ was a member and Past Commodore of the Bush River Yacht Club in Abingdon.  He earned his Master Captains license.  Russ was active in all kinds of sports. He especially enjoyed, playing golf, and shooting pool.  Russ worked for St. Onge, Ruff and Associates as a Project Manager and Architect retiring in 2004.  He enjoyed living on the Bush River and also his winter home in Florida.  Russ was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church in Joppa, Maryland.  He also attended Evangelical Covenant Church of Venice Isles, in Florida.     

Russ is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna Bowser; son, Gregory K. Bowser and his wife, Susan; two grandchildren, Eric M. Bowser, (wife Siobhan) and Bradley A. Bowser; four great-grandchildren, Bryonna O’Brien, Tullia Bowser, Teagan Bowser, and Sunnie Bowser. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Arlene Diehl and Sylvia Brose. 

The Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at their home on July 17^th at 4pm.
