Russell "Jake" Jacobs

November 10, 1956 — June 1, 2023

Rising Sun

Russell "Jake" Jacobs, 66, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Richard Jacobs Sr. and Joan (Reely) Jacobs.
Jake had a passion for music, finding his truest joy when performing on stage in front of a crowd. As the lead singer of the bands B-More Blues Band and Current Situation, his talent and presence were undeniable. He loved the beach, the feel of warm sand beneath his feet, and basking in the sun.
A skilled contractor in the construction business, Jake possessed a natural knack for building furniture and home renovations. His craftsmanship left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to witness his creations. He found happiness in the company of family and friends, riding his Harley, eating crabs, and watching the Orioles.
Jake is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Jacobs, who shared countless cherished moments by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength within his children: sons Russell Jacobs Jr. and Brandon O'Hara (wife Sarah Bruce); daughters Nicole Jacobs and Casi O'Hara-Braxton (husband Ty Braxton); and grandchildren Bryannah, Kian, Cameron, Aeson, Aria, Aiden, Leilani, and Jubilee. He will be profoundly missed by his brothers Richard Jacobs Jr., Joseph Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, and Al Jacobs.
In addition to his immediate family, Jake was preceded in death by his dear sister, Connie Jacobs. The impact he made on their lives will forever be treasured.
Russell "Jake" Jacobs will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love for music, his craftsmanship, and, above all, his unwavering devotion to his family and friends.
