Russell Hunter Hall, 64, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on October 7, 2024. Born on August 18, 1960, in Wilkinsburg, PA, he was the younger of two sons of Joyce E. Hall and the late Ralph E. Hall of Level Green, PA.

Russell graduated from Penn-Trafford High School in Harrison City, PA, in 1978 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1982, where he was a proud member of the Varsity Cheerleading Squad.

Throughout his career, Russell held various positions with major U.S. corporations, including Pepsico, Sysco, and Gate Gourmet. He served as Vice President of Risk, Health & Safety at Swissport before dedicating his expertise to small businesses as an HR and safety specialist at BBSI in Abingdon.

A lover of the outdoors, Russell enjoyed hunting and skiing and lived in the Denver area for several years before returning to the East Coast and settling in the Washington, D.C. area. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his brother, Mark E. Hall, his mother, Joyce E. Hall, and his beloved cousins, Jerilyn Taylor and Robert Matthews, as well as his many friends and colleagues.

A memorial service to celebrate Russell's life will be announced at a later date. He will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and the joy he brought to those around him.
