Ruby May Acree, age 83, of Bel Air, MD, died on April 4, 2009 at her daughter's home in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late N. Marie Nault and Robert G. Geesey and wife of the late Edward E. Acree. She worked for many years at Bendix Radio. She enjoyed many activities at her residence, the Bel Air Senior Housing, was a member of the Joppatowne Golden Agers Club and a past member of the Harford County Women's Bowling Association. She enjoyed bingo, crafting, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Acree is survived by three sons, Sherman T. Acree of Jarrettsville, MD, Glenn E. Acree of Lexington, KY, and Charles E. Acree of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Bonnie L. Kissner of Forest Hill, MD and M. Elaine Devin of Kingston, OK; two sisters, Katherine Umbarger and Grace Christmas; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grand-children, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Robert G. Acree; and four siblings, Joseph, Robert, Lester, and Frances Geesey.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Harford Hospice, 8003 Corporate Drive, Suite G, Baltimore, MD 21236.
