Rosario (Ross) Vincent Liberati, age 85, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 25, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bellaire, OH, he was the son of the late Ginetto and Mary (Pasquale) Liberati. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, where he served our country during the early 1950's. He graduated from Kent State University, and he later earned a Masters in Education from Towson University.
Mr. Liberati worked 34 years at Aberdeen Proving Ground where he was Branch Chief at the Ordnance Center and School. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and belonged to many organizations. He was a member of the Sons of Italy – Harford County Lodge, where he was past president and current state trustee. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus Bel Air Council #4714, where he was past grand knight, district deputy and faithful navigator. For 12 years he served as the Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 362, and he was a former board member of APGFCU.
Mr. Liberati is survived by his wife of 63 years, Owena Louise (Campbell) Liberati; sons, Gino Liberati (Susan) of Forest Hill and Michael Liberati (Nancy) of Warwick; daughter, Mary Boegner of Forest Hill; brother, Anello Liberati (Dorothy) of Bellaire, OH; grandchildren, Matthew, Tamie, Jessica, Mauri, Craig, Kristen and Ross; and great-grandson, Logan.
