Rosine Groener Asmussen

Rosine Groener Asmussen, age 82, of Edgewood, MD, died on June 30, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Katharina Distel Groener. A homemaker, she was also a member of the VFW Post 8126 in Havre de Grace, MD.

Mrs. Asmussen is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Asmussen of Edgewood, MD; son, William R. Asmussen of Corpus Christi, TX; daughters, Yvonne R. Baldwin of El Paso, TX, Doris W. Miller of Dale City, VA, Nancy D. Cline of Tulsa, OK, Cathy A. Sawyers of Aberdeen, MD and Carol A. Bonds of Cecilton, MD; brothers, Bernd Groener of Mobile, AL and Karl Gunter Groener of Germany; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
