Rosemary S. Page-Askew, age 83, of Bel Air, MD, died on May 18, 2010 at Lorien Riverside in Belcamp, MD. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Earle Saxton. She graduated from Pleasantville High School in New York where she was Valedictorian, Fisk University in Nashville, TN, and Howard University Law School in Washington, DC where she was on the Law Review. She worked for many years as a civil litigator with Legal Aid Society, and was Associate General Council for American Arbitration, writing a regular column in the Wall Street Journal. Upon retirement, she fell in love with South Africa where she lived for six years pioneering for the Bahai Faith. When she returned to the states, she remained very active with the local Bahai community. And, she was her grandson's rock.
Ms. Page is survived by her son, Christopher James Askew of Bel Air, MD; daughter, Marjorie Page Clarke and husband, Norman, of Bel Air, MD; brother, Peter Saxton and wife, Yvonne, nephew and niece, Dave and Lisa, of Annapolis, MD; sister, Patrice Saxton of Bel Air, MD; and grandson, Christopher James Askew Jr. of Albuquerque, NM.
