Rose Pennington Sellers was born on April 12, 1914, and died on June 20, 2010 in Wilmington, DE, where she resided since 1992. As a 1937 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Nursing, she practiced public health nursing in both Harford and Baltimore Counties in Maryland for many years. After her retirement in 1979, she traveled extensively to at least 22 countries.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence M. Sellers, and her son, Lawrence M. Sellers Jr., brothers, Charles and Jack Pennington, and sisters, Anna Baumgartner and Meda Gross. She is survived by her daughter, Martha, and her son-in-law, Ronald Davis; brother, Herbert Pennington; sisters, F. Louise Pennington and Edith Kilby; sister-in-law, Doris Pennington; daughter-in-law, Virginia Ann Sellers; grandson, Lawrence M. Sellers III and his wife, Sabine; and great-grandsons, Nathan, Benjamin, and Owen Sellers. She is survived by her sixteen dear nieces and nephews and their families. Also, she leaves a much-loved expanded family that includes Dawn and Bob Zrebiec, Kenneth and Michael Zrebiec, Heather Uberti and their families.
Services and interment are private.
