Rose Harkins

Rose Harkins, age 86, of Forest Hill, MD, died on October 21, 2009. Born in Nathans Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Sally Mae Reeves Whittington and wife, for 34 years, of the late Robert Grier Harkins. A resident of Harford County for 69 years, she enjoyed gardening, painting, antiques, and traveling. She was a member of The Village Homemakers, Red Hatters, and "Rosie the Riveter".

Mrs. Harkins is survived by her sons, Larry M. Harkins and wife, Jenny, of Street, MD and Gordon D. Harkins of Upperco, MD; daughter, Pamela S. Harkins of Airville, PA; sisters, Ruby Whittington of NC and Bobbie Stelle of TX; grandchildren, Matthew Jacobs of Forest Hill, MD, Amber Harkins of Street, MD, Max and Cameron Kirschner of Upperco, MD; and great-grandchild, Cortney Jacobs.
