Rose E. Mills

ROSE E. MILLS, age 80, of Abingdon, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on April 4, 2004. Born in Canton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Harriette Field Brown. She had been a factory worker for the Remmington Rand Company in Elmira, New York. They made cash registers.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her husband of 27 years, William B. Mills, Jr. of Rincon, Georgia; two sons, Robert C. Byrd of Rockville, MD; Dennis L. Byrd of Abingdon; a step-son, Gerald R. Byrd of Montgomery, Alabama; two step-daughters, Melba Campbell of Gillett, Pennsylvania; Joyce E. Lekowski of Medina, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kristina Rose Byrd of Abingdon; Jesse H. Byrd of Rockville, Maryland; and Daniel A. Byrd of Boston, Massachusetts.
