Rosaria ''Sadie'' Barbera

Rosaria "Sadie" Barbera, age 86, of Belcamp, MD, died on May 2, 2010 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta D'Angelo D'Anna, and wife of the late Salvatore John Barbera Sr. A member of Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary Post 1841, she volunteered at Union Memorial Hospital and Perry Point VA Medical Center. She was an active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she enjoyed her volunteer work. An avid painter, she loved gardening, cooking, and the outdoors.

Mrs. Barbera is survived by her sons, Chuck J. Barbera of York, PA and Sal J. Barbera Jr. of Abingdon, MD; daughters, Jo Marie Bolt of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeanette B. Rafetto of Belcamp, MD, and Mary Bisker of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Jean Derflinger of Eldersburg, MD and Helen D'Anna of Baltimore, MD; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her baby daughter; brothers, Angelo and Pete D'Anna; and sister, Nancy Snarski.
