Rosalie M. Railer

Rosalie M. Railer, 85, of Edgewood, MD, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2013, with her family at her side. Born in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late C. Stephen Ross and Della M. (Poland) Ross of Westernport, MD. She was the devoted wife of the late Roy F. Railer; loving mother of Robert A. Railer and wife Pamela, Doris J. Isabella and Roy F Railer Jr.; dear sister of Adeline Ross and Laura M. McRobie; loving grandmother of Susan Schulz and husband Robert , Janette Bickford and husband Christopher, Todd Railer, and Michelle Kistler. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

As a career military wife, she resided for several years in Kettering, England and Munich, Germany before settling in Edgewood in 1954. She was very creative and enjoyed many hobbies such as cooking and gardening. However, she excelled at sewing, knitting and crochet, often making beautiful baby outfits, or performing an alteration in a pinch for friends and loved ones. In her golden years, she learned computer skills on her own and liked to keep in touch with family and friends via email, make greeting cards, work puzzles and play spider solitaire.

A Graveside Service will be held at Bel Air Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236.
