Ronald Charles Spahn, a loving, devoted father and grandfather from Bel Air, MD, passed away at home on December 1, 2023, at 79. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Charles Paul Spahn and Effie Jane Spahn (nee McDermot). Ronald graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in 1963 and recently attended his 60th reunion. He worked as a salesman at Xpedx.
Ronald was a devoted Catholic who was a member of and attended St. Margaret Catholic Church every week. He had many close friends and was a caring and loving father and friend. An avid reader and collector of model trains, he often took his grandchildren to the train gardens around Christmas time. Ronald loved fishing, boating, and rollercoasters and did side work as an electrician for friends and family. He loved his dogs and was a huge sports fan, especially the Ravens and Orioles.
Ronald is survived by his son, Ryan Paul Spahn; daughter, Jennifer Marie Manning (nee Spahn) and husband Henry J Manning; grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Manning and Tyler Paul Manning; brother, Louis Frank Spahn and wife Susan L. Spahn (nee Huddleston); sister, Olivia Elizabeth Burd (nee Spahn) and husband Pastor Keith R. Burd; two nephews, Louis Frank Spahn II and James Michael Spahn; two nieces, Kelley Leigh McFadden (nee Spahn) and Deneka Lynn Crawford (nee Burd) and several cousins.
