Ronald Ray Simons

Ronald Ray Simons, age 75, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on June 27, 2020 at his home. Born in Abbs Valley, Virginia, he was the son of the late Monroe and Osie (Wassum) Simons. He loved country music and was a great song writer, many of his songs were recorded by Alison Krauss, Crystal Gayle, Tommy Cash and bluegrass bands. He loved his family and the hills of Virginia.

Ronald is survived by step-daughter, Deborah Twele; two sisters, Deborah Simons Shupe and Brenda Simons Hale; and six brothers, Frankie Simons, Larry Simons, Melvin Simons, Roger Simons, Jerry Simons, and Billy Simons.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.
