Ronald James Yamagata, 79, of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on February 9, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in North Kona, HI, he was the son of the late Yoshito and Haruko Nakano Yamagata. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service and from McLean Contracting Company where he worked for 25 years. He also worked part time for 12 years at Maryland Parking at BWI Airport. He liked to watch NASCAR and listen to Polish music.
Mr. Yamagata is survived by his daughter, Sirena Kotowski and husband, Joe, of Belcamp; sister, Janice Grady of Henderson, NV; and grandson, Shawn Sullivan. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Lynn Yamagata; and his brothers, Herbert and Larry Yamagata.
