Ronald J. Hick, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 22, 2018 and lived 80 wonderful years. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph and Julianna "Julie" (Kulikowski) Hick. He and loving wife Dolores Margaret Hick were married for 53 years. After graduating in 1955 from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Ron spent a few years in the Army Reserve and then 30 years at AT&T where he retired in 1990 as an Engineering Associate.
After retirement, he formed Londonderry Contracting where he offered good quality home improvements and especially enjoyed working with customers. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church where he attended church every Sunday. Additionally, Ron was a former member of Nativity Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church in the Timonium area. He enjoyed model railroading, woodworking, and listening to music, especially smooth jazz and classic rock and roll. He took piloting classes and he was interested in WWII planes, old trains, classic cars and anything mechanical. Furthermore, he loved to travel, ski, playing tennis and was an avid reader of thrillers, spy novels, Popular Mechanics and National Geographic. He did many home improvements and enjoyed growing his vegetable and flower gardens. Ron really enjoyed a lighthearted, conversation with family, friends and acquaintances.
In addition to his wife, survivors include daughter, Rebecca Schene and her husband Mark, daughter Jennifer D'Onofrio and her husband Darin; grandchildren Joshua and Grace D'Onofrio; and dear friend, Kathy Schneider.
