RONALD EUGENE JONES, age 59, of Bel Air, died at his residence on February 20, 2003. Born and raised in Harford County, he was the son of the late Clarence Lee and Ernestine Lois Lambert Jones and the husband for 35 years of the late Carole Jones. He worked as a production scheduler at Boeing for the Hubble Space Telescope. A graduate of Bel Air High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree from University of Baltimore. He enjoyed stained glass, camping, and hiking. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing Trivial Pursuit with his friends. As a long time member of the community, he also served as Scout Leader and basketball, baseball, and softball coach for the Bel Air Recreational League. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Jones is survived by three sons, Christopher L. Jones of Tampa, Florida; Gregory J. Jones of Bel Air; Derrick T. Jones of Abingdon; one daughter, Annelisa M. Hitchcock of Bel Air; three brothers, Donald Jones of Aberdeen; Alan Jones of Amarillo, Texas; Michael Jones of Havre de Grace; two sisters, Connie Maners of Bel Air; Judy Jung of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Abigail D. Hitchcock of Bel Air; Cynthia C. Hitchcock of Bel Air; Douglas M. Hitchcock, III of Bel Air; Isla S. Jones of Tampa, Florida; and Alana S. Jones of Tampa, Florida.
