Ronald C. Wartman, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on March 7, 2022 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Harry and Margaret (Keller) Wartman. He was a veteran of the Maryland Army National Guard where he served for 8 years after participating in the Coast Guard Reserves during high school. He was a 1954 graduate of Dundalk High School, and a 1958 graduate of Towson State Teachers College. He then went on to complete 3 master's degrees from Towson where he was a founding member of the Towson State Lacrosse Team. He married his high school sweetheart, Audrey and they would have celebrated their 64th anniversary on April 5, 2022. He lived in Naples Florida for over 20 years and retired in 1990 from Baltimore County Board of Education after 34 years of service. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in many committees at the church. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, watching and playing sports. He would watch the Orioles and Ravens all the time.
Ronald is survived by his wife Audrey (Hall) Wartman; daughter, Kelly Anderson; grandchildren, Kelsey Anderson, Carleigh (James) MacKenzie and Camryn Anderson; great-granddaughter, Maci MacKenzie; and brother, Robert (Sarah) Wartman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Hall Wartman and sister, Sharon Sevick.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
